Patient Care Coordinator/ Medical Receptionist

The Position:

We are seeking a well-rounded, energetic, reliable, and friendly Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position has previous experience answering phones, scheduling appointments, insurance verification, connecting with patients in person, a passion for working in the medical/hearing care industry, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A successful candidate will need to be extremely detail-oriented and professional while speaking with people on the phone and in person.

Responsibilities include:

  • Greeting patients and visitors with a smile
  • Answering the phones, taking thorough and accurate messages
  • Accurately scheduling and confirming appointments, obtaining MD script prior to patient appointments
  • Use of practice management software to enter patient patient/insurance demographics
  • Commitment to continuous improvement; willingness to grow and learn new skills in audiology-related skills set (audiology practice software, sensitivity to hearing loss, possible career track in hearing care)
  • Ensuring the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming for patients
  • Maintaining excellent working relationships with patients, visitors, vendors, colleagues, etc.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED—some college preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience working in a healthcare office is desirable
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with utmost care
  • Commitment to continuous improvement; willingness to grow and learn new skills in audiology related skills set (audiology practice software, sensitivity to hearing loss, possible career track in hearing care)
  • Basic computer skills (Word, some Excel, and QuickBooks)

Pay: $20-$26 per hour depending on experience
