About This Type:

A comfortable design that’s perfect for almost all types of hearing loss, AGX® Hearing’s receiver-in-canal (RIC) devices make better hearing a breeze. The directional microphones and technology are located in the body of the RIC devices, hidden behind the outer ear, while the speaker (receiver) is fed into the ear canal via a thin, discreet wire. RIC-style devices may be fit with a comfortable, flexible dome that allows sound to pass through the ear canal naturally. However, custom earmolds, as recommended by your doctor of audiology, offer better hearing clarity and more volume for many people.

Although RIC devices sit behind the ear, the small, sleek design means that they’re barely visible when worn, and they help provide clear, confident communication. With AGX Hearing’s RIC devices, hearing is as natural and effortless as possible.
